What happens to my account in the Lynk app when I create a LynkBiz merchant account?

Your current account in the Lynk mobile app will remain available, however it will not be linked directly to your new LynkBiz account on the merchant platform. You can still use the Lynk mobile app to Top-up, Bill Pay and Transfer money.

Ready to Cash In via bank?

Follow these easy steps:

Step 1: Go to Lynk’s home screen and select More

Step 2: Choose Cash In then Bank

Step 3: Select your bank of choice and card type (Debit/Credit)

Step 4: Select currency (example: Jamaican Dollar, JMD)

Step 5: Enter your card details and a nickname for your account

Step 6: Your card is now connected. Get lynking!

Remittances sent can be collected within a period of up to 180 days or 6 months. If you're unable to collect your remittance within this timeframe, otherwise please contact MoneyGram or Western Union.

Once you’ve entered a valid MoneyGram reference, Lynk takes a few minutes to validate and deposit your money in your Lynk wallet.

What do I need to collect remittances with Lynk?

To successfully collect remittances using Lynk, ensure you have the following:

1. Active Lucky Lynk (Tier 2) Account: Your account should be a Tier 2 type for enhanced features and limits. For more information about different Lynk account tiers, visit Lynk Account Tiers.
2. Valid Government-Issued ID Registered on Lynk: Make sure you have a government-issued ID, either a Voter’s ID or Driver’s License, that is valid and already registered with your Lynk account.
3. Transaction Identifier: You'll need the specific MoneyGram Reference Number or Western Union Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) associated with the remittance you are collecting.

These requirements are designed to ensure a secure and efficient process for collecting your remittances through Lynk.

How do I receive money from abroad in my Lynk wallet?

You can collect remittances sent through MoneyGram and Western Union directly in your Lynk wallet. The sender can visit any MoneyGram or Western Union location to complete a transfer to Jamaica and share the transaction number with you.From your Lynk wallet:

1. Go to your Lynk Home screen and click More
2. Select Remittance and choose either MoneyGram or Western Union
3. Provide the relevant requested information including your Reference number or MTCN
4. Swipe up to collect your remittance funds straight to your Lynk wallet
